About Us
Welcome to Marlu Furbabies and Friends - a volunteer-run, not-for-profit wildlife rescue and rehabilitation group based in Gladstone. Since 2019, we've been dedicated to caring for local wildlife when they need it most.
It all started when our founder, Sue, rescued a pretty face wallaby named Sunny. That one act of kindness sparked a lifelong passion for helping injured and orphaned animals. Since then, Sue and our team of volunteers have been working tirelessly to nurse countless native animals back to health, giving them a second chance at life in the wild.
From baby possums to injured birds and wallabies, we take in all kinds of wildlife in need. Our goal? To rehabilitate them with love and care, then release them back into their natural habitat where they belong.
We're a small but mighty group, and we rely on the generosity of our community to keep doing what we do. Whether it's through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, every bit of support helps us make a difference.
